Steven Dean

Steven Dean is an entrepreneur, designer, and educator focused on innovation in health and wellness. At his design consultancy, G51 Studio, he is involved in a broad range of projects that span business strategy, user interaction and experience design, service design, and brand experience. He has designed and developed integrated user experiences for numerous health and wellness platforms including mobile devices, networked applications, and websites. Prior to creating his consultancy Steven led product development as a founding member of Miavita, an early online lifestyle and digital health-coaching platform. Steven regularly lectures on the topics of health, service design, quantified self, and behavior change and is an adjunct faculty member at Parsons The New School for Design, where he teaches courses in service design, behavior change, and health innovation. A committed health DIYer, Steven is the organizer of the NY Quantified Self meetups and an active member of the Health 2.0 community. He graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Mathematics and holds an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design.
