Crys Moore

Former Adjunct, Former Staff, ITP Alumni, Class of 2013
Courses Taught: The Ecology of Space

I am an artist, designer, and cultural producer. I received my master's from NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program, where I worked as a research resident until from 2012-13. I teach Intro to Digital Media classes at BMCC and NYU/ITP. My work has been seen at Los Angeles County Museum of Art, written about in Apartment Therapy, Al Jazeera America, and the Verge. I've worked with Beatriz Da Costa and Natalie Jeremijenko and written a feature for Art 21. As an artist, my work has traditionally explored and deconstructed identity in relation to power and 'otherness'. Currently I am expanding my practice through critically designed objects and experiences. I am inspired by thinkers/makers such as Ian Bogost, Smudge Studio, Dunne and Raby, Geoff Manaugh, Trevor Paglan, Beatriz Da Costa, and Natalie Jeremijenko. Things I'm thinking about include:: Geo Media, Critical Futurism, The Anthrop.
