Diana Freed

ITP Alumni, Class of 2015

Diana is a PhD student at Cornell Tech. Her research focuses on digital security and privacy as well as developing and evaluating technologies for mental health and chronic conditions. She is a recipient of the Engaged Cornell Graduate Student Grant. Diana received the 2018 ACM CHI Best Paper Award for her paper on Digital Technologies and Intimate Partner Violence and a 2018 CSCW paper recognition for her contribution to Diversity and Inclusion. Previously, she worked as a Technologist-in-Residence at Cornell Tech in the Small Data Lab where her research focused on mHealth, mobile sensing, and patient-centered design. She is an Affiliate and 2015-16 Fellow at the Data and Society Research Institute, a graduate of NYU-ITP '15, and a graduate of Columbia University.
