Animated Bird Exhibit

Anderson Miller

A zoological exhibit examining a newly discovered species of animated bird.

Classes Computational Cameras

A group of animated birds reacts to people in a way comparable to the way in which real zoo animals react to people.

User Scenario
A projected wall is full of birds. When the person moves, some of the finches respond. When the person makes a big movement, the finches all respond. When the person makes a sweeping hand gesture, food is thrown into the "virtual cage". When people interact with different portions of the screen, different finches respond and look at them.

2 cameras getting positional and motion data on people outside the cage, and an animation framework coded in openFrameworks, that responds to said motion/positional data.
