We are always at risk of whacking someone with the door when entering and leaving bathrooms, amongst other spaces. Our project proposes to solve this problem by adding a LED indicator to the door. If one were to approach from the outside, the LED indicator on the inside would flash red - someone's about to enter. If two people approach at the same time, the first person is given precedence with a green light. Sensing is done with IR. Dormouse requires no modification to the door. The indicators, sensors and microcontroller are inserted into a small, simple package.
