Interactive Documentary
You may recreate the historical experience of Hiroshima. During playing this documentary, you will play a crew of Enola Gay which dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima in 1945. You can think what the crew thought in that time, because this documentary lets you say what they really said. I wish people around the world wouldn't forget the only experience of suffuring from atomic bombs in human history.
Background
The United States Archive has a lot of footage films about Hiroshima. But not so many people has seen them. Also, many American citizen don't know what happened at Hiroshima in those days.
Audience
I'd like to show this work to the audience who believe dropping an atomic bomb is for "Justice".
User Scenario
The work asks the audience to read the lines which are really what the crew were saying in that time based on the flight recorder. So, the audience can experience the crew of Enola Gay which dropped the bomb on Hiroshima. They believed that was their mission to finish the war, and they hadn't doubted whether the mission was right or not. Finally, the audience can think about what actually happened.
Implementation
The interactive function of the work is worked by Quicktime Player and some autoplay-script software. What the audience do is saying the lines with a headset.
Conclusion
I'm not going to blame what happened to Japanese. I hope people remember what happened.
