Asthmap works as a digital medical journal by allowing users to submit poor air quality reports via their Mobile device. The reports are submitted after Asthma attack, sudden shortness of breath or coughing/breathing incident.

Each report is geo-tagged and timestamped automatically upon upload. Once uploaded, everyone's contributed reports can be browsed online. A visual timeline of the reports can be viewed to study the air quality patterns in New York City.

Currently Asthmap is available for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
