Thesis

The idea of a love perfume which when worn would cause another to fall instantly in love has existed for centuries. Historically these scents have been sold with skillful banter, but today we synthesize the pheromones the body produces in hope of effecting another's behavior. S Ring plays on this notion by releasing a pheromone laced perfume onto the hand of its wearer when triggered.

The wearer can then open their hand and direct the scent, perhaps toward a desirable other. While we may not be able to accurately effect the behavior of others with pheromones now, in twenty years that could change. Imagine a pheromone mix concocted after analyzing the desireables DNA. Without their knowing, their behavior could be unconsciously influenced.

Trying to read others motives and protecting yourself from unseen influences may be part of the future. Or perhaps a new art of facilitated communication will emerge.

Implementation
A total of 6 perfumes will be prepared for display. Three will contain pheromones, three will not. Each scent will be carefully crafted. People will be able to explore the scent scape while interacting with the ring. A video vignette will be prepared describing the project.
