The Commons allows an arbitrary number of individuals to interact with each other in real time in a common projected space by controlling on-screen elements with their smartphones. The project leverages websockets, node.js, processing.js, and smartphone touch screens to give individuals real time control over projected elements without having to download software or use special hardware.
