Wander the wilderness of the Web using an interactive, map-based visual browser

Our ability to discover the depths of the Web is limited by keyword search. What if we simply want to explore? Internaut Explorer is a Web navigation paradigm in which several million Web pages from an open-content directory have been placed on an interactive map. The prototype visualizes the directory in a way that promotes accidental information seeking due to the serendipity inherent in its visual design – a purposeful characteristic that promotes access to the “wilderness” of the Web.
