Description

recipe.codes is a digital recipe encyclopedia targeted at adventurous cooks. It explores information architecture inherent in recipes to inspire experimentation, improvisation and play in the kitchen.
The experience of recipe.codes allows users to drift between similar recipes to get a high level understanding and stumble upon unexpected combinations of ingredients.
The recipes are written in code-like syntax to highlight their structure using a specific set of words. The arrangement of these recipes draws heavily from principles of library science and cartography.
