Description

When the Korean War was over and the country divided into two countries, hundreds of thousands of people were separated from their families. Most of them did not live to reunite. What were their struggles? How could they reconcile this tragedy? What were their lives like? Projections, historic images, and soundbites from interviews are used at the live dance performance to jointly tell the story of one’s constant revisiting his life prior to the separation in memory. By employing multimedia technologies, the project explores how technology can help connect an often abstract art form with a story that usually appears in documentaries or journalistic works. The ultimate goal is to augment the storytelling and amplify a call for action and public empathy.
