New Interfaces for Musical Expression

Loom is outfitted with a handful of sensors in key areas for transducing movements associated with weaving into sound. As the user weaves on it, the action of the loom's parts and the motion of the fabric being produced are recorded and sent to a max/msp patch that turns the data into a composed piece of music. By the end of the weaving, you will have the physical artifact of your actions as well as have had experienced your actions as sound.
