It is a 3 Degree of Freedom, robotic arm with an LED lamp as the end effector. Users can position the device as a table lamp or for ambient light by simpe hand gestures. So go ahead and wave your hand and watch the Robolamp follow you!
Implementation
RGB LEDs for the lamp head. Servo Motors form the base for arm movements. And infra-red distance sensors react to the user motions. The body is made of maple wood and balsa to keep it light weight.
