Poetry Everywhere

Inspired by Jackson Mac Low's suggested methods for reading his biblical poems, (in which he advises readers to take their pulse to determine the rate at which the poem should be read), Vital Sign: Pulse Poems is a real-time experience in which the reader is connected to a pulse sensor to determine the rate at which text appears.

Background
This project stemmed from a class assignment in which we were to reinterpret a poem of our own, which we had written in class, using new media.

User Scenario
A user's hand is connected to a pulse sensor which triggers a projection, word by word, of a poem.

Implementation
Pulse sensor + arduino +computer + projection.

Conclusion
It's a compelling experience to read at your heart rate.
