Wooden Waves is an exploration of how complexity can be created from simplicity. In this case, one small wooden unit with three holes is multiplied thousands of times with the laser cutter, and its iterations are bound together with aluminum binding posts. The result is a woven fabric that expands into three dimensions when various points are lifted and dropped. The sculpture will hang from the ceiling with threads that the viewers can pull on, manipulating the heights and directions of the entire tapestry.
