ITP Alumna, Donna Cameron

Donna Cameron’s multimedia art uses “Cinematic Paper Emulsion”, a technique for which she was issued a US Patent in 2001. Since 1991, her work is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art, NY and continues to be exhibited internationally. She was shown in the MoMA 20th century retrospective “MoMA 2000″, The Whitney Museum of American Art’s millennial show in New York in 2000, la Biennale Arte de Venezia in Venice, Italy, 2005 and 2007, The Art Institute of San Francisco, The New Museum, NY and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, France.

Donna Cameron has a master’s degree in new media from the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University and a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is named in William Wees’s “Recycled Images” (1993), “Donna Cameron” monograph, (2007) Spuytenduyvil Press, Maureen Furniss’s seminal “The Animation Bible” (2008), and Cynthia Maris Dantzic’s “100 New York Photographers” (2009). She lives and works in Brooklyn, NY and Arlington, VA.
