Future of the Infrastructure Scenario Presentations
Friday, December 11
7pm – 10pm
NYU 19 West 4th St, Room 101

Scenarios of 2016: Coming to Life on December 11. RSVPs Needed.

The first “future of the infrastructure” scenario presentation since 2005 will take place in New York’s Greenwich Village, at the former “Bottom Line” theatre.

Presented by students at NYU’s famous Interactive Telecommunications Program, these are fascinating glimpses of the interrelated future of new media and the global economy; and then a thought-provoking, freeform discussion follows.

We’ll be talking about these five ways the world might evolve by 2016 (7 years from now):

* “Let Them Have Broadband:” Haves and have-nots in a world of discretionary information

* “Little Brother is Micromanaging You:” Data goes super-abundant

* “Migration of Privilege:” China and India eclipse the West

* “There Goes Everybody:” A couple of pandemics change the game

* “Barbarians at the Gates:” The end of intellectual property law as we know it

The presenters include: Alex Kauffmann, Amit Snyderman, Andrew Styer, Brian E. Jones, Bruno Kruse, Derek Chung, James Lamiell, Jason Rosado, John Dimatos, Jonathan Nachum, Jorge Just, Joshua Schelling, Joshua Kleiner, Madeline Jannotta, and Robert Carlsen, Sonaar Luthra, Thomas Robertson, Yasser Ansari, and Zoe Fraade-Blanar.

Art Kleiner will moderate. Please join us, if you can, on
