Abstract

This VR immersive experience project showcases the cultural origins and folklore development of China's Northeast region. It delves into the demographic history through the exploration of Shaman culture and the migration during the Chuang Guan Dong period, highlighting the author's concerns over the future trend of population decline in the area. The project focuses on presenting shamanic rituals from Changbai Mountain and exhibits folk artifacts that are central to the Northeastern culture, thereby guiding the audience to reflect on the cultural richness and the dwindling population trend of the Northeast. Through an immersive portrayal of spiritual practices and the daily life influenced by Shamanism and historical migrations, this experience aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how these elements have crafted the region's identity. Furthermore, it addresses the critical issue of population decline, prompting thoughts on sustainability and cultural preservation. This project serves as an invitation to explore the complex interplay of history, culture, and community that characterizes the Northeast, offering a unique insight into its past, present, and uncertain future.
