This is a dancing performance depicting the way modern friendship evolves through time and distance. From becoming friends in school to living on the opposite side of the globe, two protagonists support and care for each other. This is a piece aimed to celebrate friendship — a often undervalued relationship in today’s world.
Abstract
Have you wished for a friendship that will last forever? In every stage of my life, I have close friends that belong to the specific period of time. When it is time for separation, we go to different places for our own pursuit. While people keep moving and seeking new opportunities, we keep losing and building friendship. This is a live performance with one dancer and another ‘virtual dancer’ that tells a story about how modern friendship endures over time.
Technical Details
I use Meshy to generate 3d models and Unreal Engine to design and render the scene. The scene is projected and controlled using Madmapper. The performance takes place in Audio Lab with Dolby Atmos System and 50 speakers.
