Wireless
Computing: ITP is set up for wireless computing, as is the Lobby of 721 Broadway, Bobst Library, and many other NYU Buildings. Anyone with a valid NYU Net ID can access it. Instructions for how to set up your laptop to access the NYU Wireless Network can be found at: http://www.nyu.edu/its/wireless/configure.html

Wired "Roaming Laptop" Computing: ITP is now set up with a small pool of IP addresses that can be set up to connect your laptop to the ITP wired network. This is a good back up in case wireless access isn't working. You have to register for this access through ITS at: https://www.nyu.edu/its/accounts/online/roaming.html
The user is your NYU NetID and password is your NetID password. The language of the web form refers specifically to the roaming laptop plug-in network at Bobst Library, however all roaming registrations can be submitted via this form.

You will need your Ethernet Card Address/ethernet firmware number/MAC Address. For Macintosh it's "ethernet address" at System Preferences -> Network->Ethernet. For windows see instructions here.

Passwords
: Please read A Word about Passwords. In particular, be aware of Nancy's Soapbox Directive: Do NOT ever send passwords in e-mail.
