ITP Camp 2024

Dates

ITP Camp 2024 will run Monday, June 3 to Thursday, June 27, 2024 featuring a hearty trail mix of Camp-led (organized by the Camp Director and Camp staff) and Camper-led (organized by Camp attendees) workshops, talks, discussions, experiments, hackathons, and more!

ITP Camp sessions (live events) take place in the afternoon, evenings, and weekends - exact hours TBA. Facilities will be accessible to registered ITP Camp participants outside of session hours.

Deadlines

Please note setting up ITP Camp participants with NYU access involves timelines that are beyond our control. As such, we are not able to take late applications or late payments. Also - payment is how you reserve your spot! Capacity may be reached before the payment deadline. We strongly recommend that you apply and pay well before these deadlines!

Format

ITP Camp 2024 will happen in-person at the fantastic ITP/IMA facilities at 370 Jay Street in Brooklyn, New York!

Online access options will be provided for some sessions, at the discretion of the session leader. These options may include:

Please note that access to recordings will expire on August 31, 2024.

This is designed as an in-person event and we recommend attending in person. Online can be a helpful substitute if you are not able to get to ITP from far or near, or are juggling family care or professional obligations. But much of the richness of the ITP Camp experience comes from handling materials and bumping elbows. We are so excited to be in the same space with you so please come in person for as much as you are able!

Additional Information

Rules of Play

ITP Camp is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment in which all participants can learn, explore, and make. You will be asked to review and agree to the ITP Camp Rules of Play, ITP/IMA Code of Conduct, and NYU's University Student Conduct Policy when submitting your application.

COVID-19 Requirements

In order to attend ITP Camp events, all ITP Camp participants will be required to comply with the NYU COVID-19 Health and Safety requirements in effect for the duration of the event. Currently, vaccine and vaccine boosters are required and mask-wearing is optional. Check the NYU COVID-19 Information page for updates leading up to the event.

Housing

ITP Camp attendees will have an opportunity to access NYU Summer Housing in Othmer Hall in Brooklyn, just a few blocks away from the ITP facilities. We have reserved a limited number of apartment style single rooms in shared suites. The apartment style suites have a shared kitchen and bathroom. (The meal plan is not required and not included in the housing reservation). Participants will be allowed to change their dates of stay using the departure/arrival hub or shorten and lengthen their stay using the reservation change form. If participants choose to stay in housing for less than three weeks, they will still be charged for a minimum of three weeks.

The rate is $486 per week, or $1,944 for the 4 week term from Sunday, June 2 through Saturday, June 29, 2024.

Sign up for housing is now available. Attendees will be required to submit a $500 reservation payment with their summer housing registration and pay the balance of their account prior to check-in.

The application deadline is May 8, or when spaces fill up. Please do not delay as there is a limited number of rooms and last year we filled up before the application deadline.

If you wish to sign up for NYU housing in Brooklyn through the ITP Camp group reservation, please email campinfo@itp.nyu.edu for the instructions after you have paid your camp fees.

You can find more information about NYU Housing on their website.
