Body Based Sculpture Workshop: Session 1

This is a sculpture workshop dedicated to the creation of hand crafted forms which may be worn on the body. This is a great opportunity to prototype ideas with soft materials. Participants with combine textile and mixed media components to create fantastic wearable pieces using basic skills in small garment construction, felting techniques, simple sewing and wire armature building. We will have polymer clay, basic jewellery making supplies, and access to sewing machines, so if you have any cool ideas there is lots of wiggle room to think big and small in wearable art! We are planning to hold 2 meetings for the Body Based Sculpture Workshop. By the end of the workshop, we will have a quick photo session featuring role-play with the artwork if you so desire!
