Diagramming Through Our Uncertainty

Uncertainty is one of the only certainties of working with emerging technology. Examinations of approaches to this paradox left me captivated by diagrams for pathways through innovation. These diagrams span from Russian TRIZ in the 1940s, OODA loop, joke diagrams of every known Agile cultural practice, Stanford d.school process, and iterations for simulation approaches in soft robotics development.

This talk surveys diagrams of processes across time, domains, and goals. It serves as a starting point about whether these models can inspire your own practices or, if not, maybe you'll want to roll your own.
