Dates
ITP Camp 2020 will run Monday, June 1st through Friday, June 26th featuring a hearty trail mix of Camp-led (organized by the Camp Director and Camp staff) and Camper-led (organized by Camp attendees) workshops, talks, discussions, experiments, hackathons, and more!
ITP Camp applications will close on Friday, May 29th at 5pm.
Fees
The flat-rate fee for Camp 2020 (happening online!) is $1500 $800.
Discounts
The discounts we are offering this year are as follows:
- ITP Alumni: 50%
- IMA Shanghai Alumni: 50%
- ITP Camp Alumni: 25%
- NYU Faculty & Staff: 25%
A maximum of 2 discounts may be used per camper.
Note: there is no discount for current ITP or IMA students.
Refunds
Fees are 100% refundable until Friday, May 29th and 50% refundable until Tuesday, June 2nd.

What’s happening with ITP Camp 2020?
After 10 years of ITP Camp-ing at 721 Broadway, it’s time to go on a new adventure. We had thought it was going to be Brooklyn, but instead we are venturing further into the wild land of the internet. ITP Camp 2020 will now be hosted online!
Why can’t we have ITP Camp in person?
All NYU instruction is being held remotely for Spring and Summer Terms. Regardless of the state of things at NYU and in New York City, ITP Campers are an international crowd and it is a difficult or impossible time for many people to travel. In order to support and embrace our community we would like to host this event is such a way that more people are able to safely attend.
How have fees and discounts been adjusted to respond to the change in format?
The new, reduced fee for ITP Camp 2020 is $800. All of our previously advertised discounts still apply, and the Early Bird deadline has been extended to Sunday, May 3rd.
In order to support the reduced fee, the “Teaching Credits for Campers†and Instigators programs will NOT be running this year.
What platforms will be used for ITP Camp?
We’re working on it. We will identify a core set of platforms, but of course campers will be welcome to experiment with and extend into others as desired. We just ask that accessibility be considered and the ITP Camp Rules of Play be honored in any spaces where activities take place related to ITP Camp 2020.

What parts / tools / materials do I need for ITP Camp?
Sessions this year will include many activities that you can do at home. Other than a laptop and internet connection there will be no required parts, tools, or materials. However we will publish a list of recommended items in advance of the start of Camp.What if I already paid the original fee for ITP Camp?
We will reach out to you to determine whether or not you would like to participate in this new format of ITP Camp. If you’re in then we will issue a partial refund for the difference in pricing. If you are not interested then we will refund your full payment.
Is there a minimum or maximum enrollment for this year?
There will be no maximum enrollment but there will be a minimum number of participants needed in order for ITP Camp to run this year. We will review the number of registrants following the close of the Early Bird deadline to ensure that ITP Camp will be able to at the very least break even.

If you can't attend ITP Camp but are still interested in teaching a workshop, giving a lecture, or leading another type of activity, you can propose a session here.Please note that Guest Session Leaders are not permitted to attend other ITP Camp sessions or activities. If you want to attend camp (which also enables you to lead sessions), please apply!
