With the guidance of their studio leaders Brett Renfer and David Harvey the Hi-fi/Lo-fi team presented a stunning result to our “NYPL” challenge on Friday: From a “Hi-fi” digital waterfall of content visitors (aka us) can choose the items they are most interested in, including a touchable table interface to access details or share the content on social media.
The “Lo-fi” exhibition wall on the other side of the room presents the items that were chosen by visitors earlier in time – including a selection mechanism with old-fashioned buttons to highlight items. The wall also shows a stream of social media comments that have been created by users when they shared the objects from the waterfall before.
It was impressing to see how detailed the team had built this idea in their studio and how thoughtfully both elements were integrated with each other.
