David Stein is both a Post Graduate Researcher at Tisch’s Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) as well as an Adjunct Instructor in the Interactive Media Arts program (ITP/IMA) at Tisch NYU.  He holds a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Vermont and an MPS from ITP.

A pioneer in online advertising, Dave was the Co-Founder and CTO of Burst Media. Dave’s 15+ year career with Burst consisted of launching one of the first ad networks in 1995 which helped establish advertising as a viable business model to support independent online publishers.

Dave is an educator, entrepreneur, and artist who explores the creation of art and music using algorithms. He frequently performs with music and visuals and develops tools to enable live performances and productions of his work.
