RESIDENT RESEARCHER

Sahal is a creative technologist based in NYC. He makes tools, objects, sounds, and still and moving images that illuminate links between memory, relationships, history, and power. His research interests include folk networking, AI ethics, and internet infrastructure and ownership.

His work has been exhibited at festivals and venues including the Wexner Center for the Arts, Iowa Writers’ Workshop, and the New Orleans Film Festival. He holds a Bachelor’s in English & Comparative Literature from Columbia and a Master’s in Interactive Telecommunications from NYU.
