Anney Norton, ITP Alum, of Dream Tea NYC Receives Best Tea Award from Good Housekeeping 2024

Interactive Telecommunications Program ‘23 alum Anney Norton, founder of Dream Tea NYC recieves best tea award from Good Housekeeping 2024

Dream Tea NYC, a small business specializing in one-of-a-kind custom tea blends and A Cuter Cupcake. Anney’s creations have been featured in Forbes’ “28 AAPI Businesses to Shop,” US Magazine’s “The 22 Absolute Best Holiday Gifts for Women, According to Women,” and Food Network.

Anney is the founder and CEO of A Cuter Cupcake Company and Dream Tea NYC. Born in Shanghai and raised in Los Angeles, she is fluent in English, Mandarin, Shanghai dialect and conversational in French. Thanks to classes like Creative Coding, she is learning HTML, CSS, and Javascript – three things she never thought she’d know! 

Anney moved to New York at age 16 to attend Parsons the New School of Design and graduated with dual honors in Strategic Design and Management. As an undergraduate, galleries across Los Angeles displayed several of her works, including the Armory Center for the Arts and the Chinese American Museum.

As an entrepreneur, her companies focus on delivering curated experiences that spark joy and emphasize creativity. She joined the ITP program to find new and innovative ways to expand those experiences beyond physical products to build communities and opportunities for interaction in the digital space.
