RESIDENT RESEARCHER

Elias Jarzombek is a musician and programmer based in Brooklyn. His work, often centered around sound and technology, has included multimedia installations, musical instruments, and an “architectural opera.” He develops music-making interfaces, often incorporating geometry or natural phenomena in their design, that aim to encourage sonic exploration regardless of musical background. With the group NonCoreProjector, he programs installations that synthesize publicly available data into real-time visual and sonic experiences. He has a BA in Computer Science from Tufts University and an MPS from NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program.
