As a technology leader and educator Greg Shakar taps into creativity, fascination, and the drive for technical understanding to inspire innovation and invention. He has served in the software industry as CTO, Engineering Manager and Software Engineer, building applications for publishing, gaming, and community engagement. As an Adjunct Professor, technical rigor is put into thoughtful practice in courses including Physical Computing, Thesis Seminar, and New Interfaces for Musical Expression. As a creator, he has exhibited sculptural interactive electronic artwork and presented collaborative audiovisual performances in cities around the world; his musical collaborations have been released on CD and DVD.
In 2023 he brings his engineering experience and lifelong interest in science to a new course: Introduction to Quantum Technologies, where students will learn about Quantum Computing and fundamentals of Quantum Physics.
