Stefanie Koseff is a video installation artist and accessibility researcher based in Brooklyn, New York. Her video work explores how moving images activate objects and environments in sculptural ways, utilizing electronics and microcontrollers to create tiny video players, large projection mappings, and video design for live performance. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in film festivals and galleries. She has participated in residencies at 3LD Media & Theater Group in NYC and her video work is part of collections in the US and Spain. She holds a Master of Science degree at Tandon School of Engineering Integrated Design and Media program, a MA in Philosophy, Media & Culture from the European Graduate School and a BA from Sarah Lawrence College. Koseff’s accessibility research has focused on assistive technology in art museums and historical sites and accessibility as creative practice. She has developed a novel method for creating tactile interpretations of historical textiles using digital fabrication methods. She is a recipient of the 2023 Inclusive Excellence Award from NYU’s Tandon School of Engineering.
