Yehwan Song is a web artist. Yehwan creates anti-friendly, non user centric, unconventional, and diverse independent websites and tries to flip the general understandings of web and subvert users’ behaviors. Yehwan focuses on the discomfort and insecurity found in a Web hidden behind a technological utopianism, immoderate comfort, fastness, and ease of use. By revealing discomfort and making non-general Web interfaces, Yehwan illuminates the inequality in the digital environment. Yehwan’s artwork focuses on virtual web spaces, physical installations, web tools, and user interfaces.
