Empire County Survival Foundry (ECSF) is a window into the future through the lens of an online boutique replete with conceptual accessories, apparel and experiences designed for the certainty of our uncertain times. The dual function of these objects offer a parallel narrative to luxurious subsistence at the epicenter of urbanized Earth. ECSF embeds you in a world we saw glimpses of in New York City during and after Hurricane Sandy. This project deploys emerging practices and theories, facilitating a dialogue around our species' need to adapt to tense realities we too often attempt to redefine or deny. As such, the populace is aided in navigating a fragile horizon with humour, optimism, and critical design.
