Description

Dimensions is an installation about an audience playfully creating and interacting with a galaxy. The galaxy is projection mapped onto fog which is contained on rotating hardware. Participants have a range of control: they can use the master control to change the zoom of the galaxy and the speed of the rotation of fog, or use their cell phones to choose the color of their own stars which are displayed in the galaxy via fiber optic cables.

Galaxy was started for the Project Development Studio class and is of the efforts of Rubin Huang, Marc Abi-Samra, and Luke Kao. Their main goal with this project is to inspire participants with a surprising art medium (fog), and to keep them playfully engaged.
