Description
We have a responsibility to provide affirmative action towards the lives of the impacted animals. Technimals continue a conversation on the effects of technology on animals. Using the endangered Komodo Dragon as a case study, I present a thermoregulatory wearable device that could speed up the digestive process, lower brumation time, and allow the reptile to live independently of environmental temperatures. This case study enables a Komodo Dragon to adapt to it's environment. As conditions worsen, more animals will require similar assistance. With bioengineering, prosthetics and cybernetics on the rise, we can provide a novel approach to help animals survive the Anthropocene.
