Crystal Futures is the deliverable of narrative explicitly designed for the production of tangible artifacts.

The aim is to transport cinema from celluloid screen into a broad spatial paradigm expanding beyond the screen; creating textured transmuted space to intercept trivial experience and add a rich textured layer of media.

Background
We live in a future demanding collective solutions to global challenges. In this present state of outsourced governance what is the role of the artist and where is imagination situated in this landscape?

The future urban citizen searches for the lost golden age and attempts to reclaim absent purity, exploring virtual playgrounds to escape monotony. Our palace of worship is a shiny isolation chamber with room for four. Icons of inner change promote catchy mantras to stimulate collective enlightenment. It’s Show-biz time to drain and capitalize the mystic.

If science fictionist propaganda can inspire habits of consumption as it did in the world fairs of the early 1900’s then stories of the future written today should reflect global crisis intended to manifest sustainable minded individuals within the global community of our future.
