Scout is an auto-stabilizing aircraft that is able to hover and relay real-time video from the aircraft. Scout is controlled by the user by way of a remote control. Scout is equipped with a wireless video camera for first person viewing and navigation.
Scouts airframe is made from carbon fiber which allows Scout to be rugged and capable of long flight time. Scout is capable of auto-stabilizing it’s self by using an Arduino based processor, gyroscopes and accelerometers. Some applications for Scout can be aerial photography, structure inspections, search and rescue, wildlife tracking, surveillance and many other applications that require a birds eye view.

Background
