Protei_007 is an articulated, modular, segmented, biomimetic, self assembling robot that can go where people cannot reach. It is the prototype for a larger model boat, Protei_006. It is an open_source, segmented, 3 meter , open_source hardware, remote control sailboat, that I helped build this summer, with the means of dragging a long oil absorbent boom in order to clean oil spills.
