Launch Weekend: Making Time Electronics Edition

Session Leaders: Tom Igoe Ben Light

Tags: #launchweekend #allcampactivity

Created By: Arielle Hein

In this session, we will open up the off-the-shelf clock mechanisms we used in the first Making Time session. We'll explore how these devices work and make modifications so we can control them with an Arduino.

What you should know beforehand:

  • What an Arduino microcontroller is.
  • How to program an Arduino or Arduino-compatible board (if you've managed to make an LED blink with it, you're ready)

What you should bring:

  • Your own Arduino or Arduino-compatible board
  • Your own laptop, with the Arduino IDE already installed on it.

There will be some soldering, some programming, and a little electronics.

Is there some material we must carry?

@Maria Jose Sa¡ You should bring your own Arduino or arduino-compatible board, and a laptop with the Arduino IDE already on it.
