Description
The AR Comic is a series of studies that expands the possibilities of comics utilizing the medium of augmented reality. My research and project will serve as a framework for how people can begin to think about AR as an independent medium for comics. I will look at comic techniques that fundamentally make up the qualities that qualify something to be a comic. In doing so (in accordance to my theory that AR itself can in fact be a comic and not just an accessory to traditional ink and paper comics) I will apply those qualifications to AR. The augmented reality comic studies are made using Lens Studio and are based on the fundamental comic elements of physical space, time, and panel or frame transitions.
