Toilet Champ is a fun app. It is counting how many times people (mainly ITP people) go to restrooms in ITP and showing the ranking of them.

Description

Two iBeacons will be located in each restroom(one next to ER and one next to Shop). Whenever people go into the restrooms iBeacon will automatically send a signal to an android phone, and a phone will send data to a server. Those numbers will be counted and ranked.

This app is collecting and analyzing indoor-location-based data!

Description

Vibraille is a mobile application that translates letters from text messages into their corresponding braille pattern represented in a 2×3 grid.For each letter, users scan the screen with their finger triggering vibration when over a cell that contains a braille bump, giving them a quick mental image of the current character. Using this kind of haptic feedback would allow those with visual impairments an alternative to the a speech only interface with mobile phones.

As an experimental of non-linear story telling, the project contains the documentary film in an interactive wooden box, which has the memory-ralated objects that assembled in a poetic way.

Description

“What’s Your Secret” is an augmented reality installation that shares the stories of elderly woman. In the installation, the audience is presented with boxes and mementos, each with a live portrait and objects of the subject.

The stories revealed in the box share life’s experiences – good and bad – give people a choice of hearing the different parts of the story over time.

Suspicious Surveillance Camera

A puppet-like surveillance camera, swivels, pivots, records and edits, based on face tracking.

Description

Wanting to give the camera the physical attribute of suspicion, the camera is built on a rig that controls its motion. With facetracking software, it turns towards faces, capturing and displaying those images. It stops hiding behind darkened glass, and lets the surveilled know what it's doing.

Description

“Dot 2 Dot” is an homage to the pioneers of “Light Drawing”.

It utilizes the sensors of a smart phone to capture, share and present a 3d motion in space, breaking the physical barrier of the 2d canvas.

Picasso’s “Light Drawings” (1949) is series of long exposure photographs. These experiments of light and motion were part of a collaborative work between Picasso and Gjon Mili, a photographer and light innovator. Picasso's “air drawing” formed any new quality to his line – the recording of his motion in space.

This remarkable experiment produced images that reshape the traditional 2d drawing into a 3d thread sculpture. They are for some extend an analog form of GIF animations as the hold a sequence of moments in each photo.

This photography technique served as a view finder to unveil an invisible layer of reality.

Description

This project is a part of Surveillance Documentary class. People usually take pictures when they want to record impressive views and situations. However, it takes few seconds to decide to take pictures and people easily miss the right moments because of the hesitation.

Mind Reading Camera allows users take pictures about their daily lives like a documentary photography. This application detects the movement of users by checking sensor values inside of Google Glass. When users see taken pictures, they would be surprised because the pictures show memorable scenes of them.

I want to take the same viewpoint as people look at with their eyes and google glass allows users shot their point of view.
