closer to you

Inspired by a prototype created by Kate Hartman, titled "Heart Strings," these two tethered shirts were created for a performance environment to allow the wearers to affect sound, light and other visuals as they repel from each other and are pulled closer together.

Two shirts are attached with non-conductive and conductive stretch fabric that limits the users' ability to fully separate from each other. As the conductive material stretches, one strand affects the volume of sound while another affects the brightness of light and other visual elements.

Audience
As a user: performers, especially dancers

User Scenario
The two shirts are to be worn by two separate individuals, who can experience the change in environment, as they pull apart and come closer together.
