Bird is an interactive, talking, kinetic puppet that responds to your movements. When you flap your arms, it will flap its wings. This project is an exploration of ways to incorporate new technologies into puppet making. Using a combination of traditional techniques (lever mechanisms) and newer technologies (Arduino, Kinect, servo motors, microphone and computer speaker), we are interested in creating a toy and also robotic puppet for the stage.
