Blue Ridges is a tactile and visual art piece consisting of a piece of 15" by 12" translucent 3D printed SLA plastic, a wooden cabinet, a projector running video. The video will consist of black, white, and midnight blue pixels that represent sunlight, moonlight, and shadows created by the passing of the astral bodies through the sky during the day. The wooden cabinet will hide the projector and computer that are rear projecting onto the SLA situated on top. The SLA was created using satellite data to form a topographical map of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
