Graduate Student Worker Strike

As you may have heard, the union that represents the graduate student employees at NYU has called a strike, effective immediately.  Negotiations will continue and we hope that this will be resolved quickly.

All ITP/IMA classes will continue as usual.

Changes to the hours of operation for services are listed below, but remember to always check the HELP page for updates:  https://itp.nyu.edu/help/.

Please know that ITP/IMA — indeed the university as a whole — is committed to providing students with the support they need to complete their academic work successfully and with minimal disruption.   The ITP/IMA Shop and the ER will continue to be open, albeit with adjustments to the hours of operation.  This will likely mean that weekend and evening hours will be curtailed.  We hope that you can take full advantage of weekday morning hours (which have been traditionally very quiet) to get your work done.

New ER Hours (beginning tomorrow 5/1):

Again, consult https://itp.nyu.edu/help for the latest information and hours.

We also expect that there will be highly reduced access to the Coding Lab and the Design Lab.  In all cases, if you need help with your class assignments, continue to take advantage of office hours with Residents and your professors.
