End of Semester Deadlines
Please pay attention to the following important end of semester deadlines marking the close of operations for the Spring 2025 Semester, including mandatory cleanup details leading up to the Show
STAGING
Wednesday, December 10 – ALL Staging Ends
- Staging Ends on Wednesday, December 10
- Staging CLEANUP must be completed by 10pm Thursday, December 11
- IF YOU ARE NOT IN THE SHOW:
- Spaces MUST be cleared and emptied by 10pm
- IF YOU ARE IN THE SHOW:
- Your Staging Space must be cleaned up, contained and should be labeled with:
- Your project name, email address and “Spring Show 2025”
- Projects in the Show may be stored on their Staging Tables in Rooms 408 and 409 beginning at 9pm
- All students with Staging who don’t move their projects to Rooms 408 or 409 on Thursday night must be on hand to move them during the Show Breakdown (you should be here for that regardless though if you are in the Show)
- Your Staging Space must be cleaned up, contained and should be labeled with:
Show Production Dates
- HyperLab closes Thursday, December 11 for Pre-Show Breakdown
- Parts of the Shop will begin to close on Thursday, December 11 for Pre-Show Breakdown
- ALL Equipment (except embedded electronics checked out from the Shop) due back by 10pm, Thursday, December 11
- On Floor Checkouts ONLY on Thursday, December 11
- No Checkouts on Friday, December 12
- The Shop will have very limited services on Friday, December 12 and Saturday, December 13 for the Show only (laser cutters, soldering, 3D printing and wood shop)
- Floor Breakdown for the Show: Friday, December 12 at 1pm – all Show participants should be here
- Winter Show Mandatory Checkin for Equipment and Space: Saturday, December 13 at 10am – 6pm
- Winter Show Mandatory Production Walkthrough: Sunday, December 14 10am-12pm
- Winter Show Day 1: Sunday, December 14 2pm-6pm
- Winter Show Day 2: Monday, December 15 3pm (special visitors), 4pm-8pm
- Floor Restoration from Show: Monday, December 15 8pm
TAKE IT HOME – PART I
Anything Not in the Spring Show
Begin taking home non-Show projects and materials as soon as possible
Anything NOT in the Show should be taken home by the end of the day on Thursday, December 11
Red Bins and Lockers
ALL Red Bins MUST be consolidated for stacking by the end of the day on Thursday, December 11
- All Red Bins will be collected and stored away for the Show during the Breakdown on Friday May 9 at 1pm
- Take home anything that doesn’t fit in the Red Bin or that is too valuable that it might fall out and get lost
- Red Bins MUST be able to stack for storage during the show, so don’t let it be overflowing
You may retain your locker into the Spring Semester
TAKE IT HOME – PART II
Winter Show Projects
All Show Projects MUST be taken home by 5pm Wednesday, December 17
Kitchen Clean out
There will be a full Kitchen clean out at 8:30am on Thursday, December 18 – refrigerators, freezers and shelves – everything must go!
