In 2018, NYU has launched a new undergraduate Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Interactive Media Arts (IMA). The IMA program starts from the proposition that computation — the ability to code, learn new software, manipulate data, and create physical+digital interactions — is an essential creative capability, and that students who master those capabilities will be well-placed to invent the future.
Due to Covid-19, IMA is currently hosting open house informational events either via Zoom or in-person as noted below. Please join us to learn more about IMA at our upcoming information sessions in anticipation of the Fall 2023 admissions cycle:

Starting Fall 2022, IMA will again be able to resume individual appointments on the floor for admissions related questions. In accordance with NYU’s Covid-19 policy, visitors need to be registered in advance through the NYU system and will be required to upload proof of Covid-19 vaccination and booster. Those with valid religious or medical exemptions must also be approved in advance. This process can take up to a week to process. If you have any questions or wish to schedule an individual appointment, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
