> Director of Exhibition Media
> Responsibilities & Duties:
> Reporting to the VP of Exhibition at a major New York museum, the Associate Director will participate in all stages of exhibition media/interactives development by actively collaborating to create the vision, content and design of exhibitions and by leading the media and interactive teams through to the production of computer-based interactives, ranging from educational touch screen kiosks to games to physical computing installations, and video productions. Candidate must possess knowledge of trends and have direct experience with current technologies and techniques in media.
> Responsibilities include managing staff, budgets and schedules for multiple projects; contributing to the conception and scripting and presentation of projects; production design, technical and editorial support; collaborating with senior exhibition team members, curators, technical experts and staff in other museum departments; identifying contractors when necessary and managing their work.
> Candidates must have 5+ years experience creating interactives (physical and computer-based and /or video production); experience managing complex projects made in Flash, Director, Unity3D is essential; knowledge of Proces55ing or Max is desireable; 3+ years experience leading a team; ability to create realistic budgets and schedules for multiple projects; excellent skills in verbal and written communication; ability to work well under tight deadlines; demonstrated ability to interpret scientific content for a broad audience; ability to conceptualize and design physical installations; current knowledge of new technologies.
