DIS Magazine New York, New York DIS Magazine is a digital media platform. It’s on and offline projects examine art, fashion, music, and culture, constructing and supporting new creative practices. Working collaboratively with artists, writers, photographers, musicians, and designers, DIS Magazine facilitates projects for the most public and democratic of all forums – the Internet. DIS Magazine was founded in 2010 by a group of friends living in New York. Born out of an endless email thread and a negative prefix, DIS sought to disrupt conventions and challenge the status quo. Since then DIS Magazine has been uncompromisingly contemporary, mapping a culture which has never, will never and is always about to exist. In the past, we’ve worked with developers and designers on projects like DISimages (http://disimages.com) and DIScrit 89plus (http://dismagazine.com/discrit89plus). We are currently looking for a parttime developer capable of implementing front end changes, developing new features, and working creatively on custom stories. We’re built on Wordpress, but often need work done on custom projects.
